Technical

  • Material:

    Consist of a single-conductor tinned copper braided heating wire sandwiched in a pre-configured pattern between durable, two porous layers of fabric

  • Operating Voltage:

    120 V, 208 V, and 240 V

  • Power Output:

    12 watts per square foot (15 watts per square foot when required/specified)

  • Maximum Continuous Exposure Temperature:

    194°F (90°C) 

  • Heating Cable:

    Single wire with ground braid outer layer

  • Cold Lead:

    2-wire, 18 AWG plus ground braid layer; 10 ft (3m) length. Extended cold leads can be Made To Order up to 22 ft (6.7m) long at an additional cost (more information is available here or contact our Customer Care

    Team). 

Installation

STEP 1

Spread modified thinset using a 1/4" x 1/4" minimum size trowel. 


STEP 2

Place Custom Mat onto fresh thinset, press firmly to create 100% contact between the Custom Mat, thinset and subfloor.


STEP 3

Secure floor sensor probe between heating wires.



STEP 4

Apply a thin layer of thinset and install tile/stone flooring as per manufacturer's instructions.

1. Custom Mat resistance must be tested before, during and after installation to validate nVent Nuheat warranties.
2. All wiring connections should be completed by a certified electrician.
